Key Responsibilities
  • Workplace Relations Support:
    • Provide first-line advice on workplace relations matters, including conduct issues, employee grievances, investigations, and performance management.
    • Support Senior P&C Representatives in case management, preparing discussion records as needed.
    • Assess workplace relations risks and exposure, advising on necessary actions and escalation procedures.
    • Manage WH&S-related matters, return-to-work plans, income protection, and ensure compliance with relevant OHS legislation.
    • Maintain accurate records and adhere to internal reporting requirements.
  • Consulting Services:
    • Collaborate closely with client groups to understand and address strategy, engagement results, and P&C requirements.
    • Offer guidance on employment conditions, remuneration, legislation, and related matters.
    • Negotiate and influence internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
    • Visit client groups regularly, particularly in regional areas, to foster relationships and collaboration.
    • Deliver internal training sessions or toolboxes as required.
    • Ensure timely communication to the business regarding outstanding action items.
  • Specialist Knowledge:
    • Stay current with P&C best practices and IR/ER legislation, including Modern Awards.
    • Review P&C policies to ensure they meet legislative and business requirements for a national audience.
    • Recommend improvements to P&C processes and procedures.
    • Apply legislative, minimum wage, or Award changes relating to remuneration and benefits.
