About the Role

The brand is currently seeking a talented Product Developer specialising in footwear to join its vibrant team.


As the Product Developer - Footwear, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the footwear collections, overseeing every stage from conception to production.


Working closely with the creative team, they will contribute to the creation of distinctive and timeless products that complement the ready-to-wear lines.



Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with designers to ensure the highest standards of quality for all footwear products
  • Managing the entire design process, from initial concept to final production, while adhering to strict timelines
  • Creating detailed illustrations and technical drawings for presentation and review
  • Working in tandem with the design team to bring their visions to life
  • Maintaining communication with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless production schedules
  • Conducting fittings and providing feedback to suppliers to ensure optimal fit and finish
  • Collaborating with Creative Directors to select materials and colours for finished products
  • Overseeing production schedules and providing regular updates on progress
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinating logistics and inspecting product quality upon receipt


About You

You will be a degree holder in Fashion Design or a related field with proven experience in product development or design within the footwear industry.


A strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes will also be essential.


Flexibility and adaptability to evolving work demands are crucial, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite will be highly valued.



About the Salary

We estimate this role to have an annual salary range of $85,000-$110,000 AUD depending on experience.
