We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Patient Liaison Specialist at The Aushealth Hospital Research Fund Ltd.
As a Patient Liaison Specialist, you will play a crucial role in building effective relationships with patients, medical consultants, and external organizations to resolve account queries and ensure seamless communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with patients, medical consultants, and external organizations to resolve account queries and ensure accurate billing.
- Meet patients in the hospital to obtain financial consent and relevant admission paperwork.
- Assist with the resolution of account queries for patients and health funds.
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and relationship-building.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to contractual requirements, privacy guidelines, and debt collection regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Prior experience in a similar healthcare role (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- An understanding of private health insurance cover and associated processes (desirable).
- Excellent computer literacy skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Resilience in having challenging conversations and ability to empathize with vulnerable customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to problem-solve and negotiate.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
