Drive growth and satisfaction as an Area Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct market research and gain in-depth knowledge of the value chain within assigned regions.
- Identify business opportunities with applicators, fabricators, engineering contractors, and owners, building rapport and resolving issues.
- Contribute to sales and profitability growth, aligning with company and regional strategies.
- Build strong relationships with existing customers to drive mutual profitability.
- Plan, execute, and report on sales activities for designated customers and opportunities.
- Promote a positive company image and develop long-term relationships with strategic accounts.
- Regularly communicate with customers to maintain market awareness and activity.
- Provide feedback on customer and competition information to inform business decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer databases.
- Deliver regular business reviews and contribute to sales plan development.
- Assist in implementing regional solutions and targets.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and manage expectations.
- Ensure timely access to products, sales tools, and support to achieve business goals.
- Educate customers on technical product requirements and support tools.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Interact with Trade Centre Manager and staff on daily activities, forecasting, planning, and stock management.
- Manage overdue payments and maintain accurate forecasting.
- Previous experience in the Paint and Coatings Industry, particularly in marine and protective coatings.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- NACE CIP Level 1 or FROSIO certification.
- Customer-focused approach with networking capabilities.
- Detailed mind to ensure specifications are correct.
- Techncial qualification and experience in blast preparation of steel substrates and paint applications (desirable).
