Head of Compliance ANZ

As the Head of Compliance ANZ, you will play a critical role in maintaining Macquarie's Compliance Framework and ensuring the company's regulatory and compliance obligations are met. You will be responsible for strengthening Macquarie's relationship with regulators across all its business and support groups, primarily ASIC.
You will partner with internal stakeholders to embed an effective and robust control environment, in line with regulatory standards, policies, and expectations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a proven track record in managing and mentoring large and diverse teams, and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships with senior management across all groups.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of coordination for Macquarie's engagement with ANZ-based regulators, primarily ASIC.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to embed an effective and robust control environment.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance matters in ANZ through the regional compliance teams.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with senior management across all groups.
- Demonstrable and strong track record of engagement with and acting as a point of contact for ASIC.
- Extensive experience and expert market knowledge in financial markets and consumer credit activity.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Australian regulatory environment and financial services regulation.
- Proven ability to guide and challenge senior stakeholders on the interpretation of regulation.
