About the Role

Assurant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance professional to lead our Australia and New Zealand operations. As the Head of Compliance ANZ, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business complies with all local regulatory requirements and Assurant Corporate Compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage effective relationships with regulators such as APRA, ASIC, RBNZ, FMA & ACCC.
  • Develop and implement a compliance program for the ANZ Branch, ensuring adequate oversight of compliance processes and protocols.
  • Provide input into strategy, business plan, budget, and financial condition report to ensure compliance-based decision making.
  • Develop and maintain a 2nd line ANZ Assurance plan covering all business lines.
  • Ensure local adoption and oversight of the Assurant Corporate Compliance program, including trade sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption protocols.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience in a Compliance Officer or Manager role or other comparable experienced professional.
  • Experience within a niche or composite insurance company, bank or professional services firm.
  • Membership of professional body such as the GRC Institute for compliance professionals or other such body.
  • At least 7 years' experience with APRA and ASIC frameworks.
  • Previous experience at a management level in a Financial/Insurance or Professional Services organization.
