Job Overview

This position oversees daily operations of a maintenance crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include supervising the maintenance team, managing renovations, coordinating capital projects, conducting property inspections, and handling administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the maintenance crew to complete tasks efficiently, on time, and to a high-quality standard.
  • Oversee renovations of vacant apartments, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and plastering & painting.
  • Coordinate capital improvement projects with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and address immediate issues.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and distribution of maintenance supplies and materials.
  • Communicate with property management regarding ongoing projects and tenant concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in general building maintenance and upkeep.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance or construction environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to balance operational tasks with administrative duties.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks and work in various environments.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and maintenance management tools.
