Electrical Trainee Drafter Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Secondary Engineering Team as a Trainee Electrical Drafter. As part of our team, you will work alongside experienced Design Drafters and Engineers to contribute to the creation of detailed designs and drawings for substation infrastructure supporting high voltage systems across utility and renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering design drafting, with previous experience working as an electrical drafter being essential. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is desirable, and experience working on utility and/or renewable energy projects is highly regarded.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Design Drafters and Engineers to create practical and constructible designs.
  • Develop initial drafting concepts through to final drawings.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering (Design Drafting) Diploma; Technical Certificate; and/or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working as an electrical drafter is essential.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is desirable.
  • Experience working on utility and/or renewable energy projects is favourable.
