
Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

The Radiologic Technologist is a critical role in the healthcare industry, requiring a skilled professional to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with medical providers and assistants.
This position involves applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, performing and analyzing patient x-rays, and reporting results to medical providers. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work accurately and efficiently, and maintain confidentiality when handling patient information.
Key Responsibilities- X-Ray Services:
- Perform x-ray services as needed under the direction of the clinical provider.
- Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
- Assist with patient handling as needed.
- Patient Registration:
- Conduct patient registration, secure required paperwork, and verify insurance and patient eligibility.
- Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments.
- Coordinate provider referrals and answer patient questions regarding care.
- Patient Preparation and Rooming:
- Inform technical staff of patient flow.
- Prepare patients for examination by interviewing and verifying information.
- Perform preliminary physical tests and conduct point-of-care testing as needed.
- Stocking:
- Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms, front desk, and reception areas.
- Maintain supply inventory levels and check expiration dates on supplies.
- Administrative:
- Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
- Answer phone calls, manage daily correspondence, and ensure reception is well maintained.
- Perform opening and closing duties, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required at time of hire as applicable by state law.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Other RequirementsA graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program is required. Experience in a clinical setting is preferred. The ability to work accurately and efficiently is essential for this role. A strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care is also necessary.
