Disability Coach Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Disability Coach to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised coaching sessions and advocacy support to learners with disabilities as required.
  • Monitor subject operations and communicate information to teachers and coordinators for reasonable adjustments.
  • Conduct coaching sessions as directed by coordinators in consultation with teachers.
  • Develop and review instructional plans tailored to meet learner needs.
  • Coordinate and maintain instructional records, manage resources, and report problems to coordinators.
Assessment Criteria:
  • Demonstrated self-management, decision-making, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
  • Instructional effectiveness, including knowledge of disability practice, quality student interaction, and preparation.
  • Promotion of inclusive delivery practice through course planning and development.
  • Commitment to professional growth, focusing on instructional skills and contemporary disability practices.
  • Application of knowledge of anti-discrimination legislation and commitment to departmental policies and guidelines.
