Patent Attorney Role

As a registered patent attorney, you will work with clients to protect cutting-edge technologies and drive innovation in various technical fields.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and internationally
  • Providing high-quality written and verbal IP advice in a timely manner
  • Managing intellectual property portfolios for local and international clients
  • Developing and executing tailored IP strategies to meet client needs
  • Preparing and delivering IP-related articles and presentations internally and externally
  • Engaging in professional development activities and networking events
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Australian or New Zealand registration as a patent attorney
  • Qualifications in electrical or electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, information and communications technology (ICT), physics, quantum computing, software engineering, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of post-registration experience as a Patent Attorney
  • Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the above technical fields
  • Proven track record in managing IP portfolios and developing strategies for Australian and international applicants
