IP Protection Specialist

We are seeking a talented IP Protection Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, protecting cutting-edge technologies and developing strategies tailored to their commercial objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in electrical or electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, information and communications technology (ICT), physics, quantum computing, software engineering, or a related field.

You will have a minimum of one to three years post-registration experience as a Patent Attorney, along with experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the above technical fields.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and internationally,
  • Preparing high-quality written and verbal IP advice in a timely manner,
  • Managing intellectual property portfolios for local and international clients,
  • Developing and executing IP strategies tailored to client needs,
  • Preparing and delivering IP-related articles and presentations internally and externally,
  • Participating in networking events, seminars, and business development activities.

As an IP Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting our clients' interests through effective IP management.
