We offer a highly competitive remuneration package with an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000 based on the national average in Australia.
Job Description
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing mechanical engineering design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This includes developing mechanical designs and preparing engineering drawings, technical reports, and specifications from concept design through to detailed design.
You will also provide support and training to junior engineers, review detailed mechanical calculations, drawings, and documents, and interface with other disciplines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a closely allied discipline.
- Chartered status from a relevant engineering body, including Professional Engineer Registration in Victoria.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the water and wastewater industry (post-graduation).
- Extensive experience in performing mechanical engineering design from the concept design phase through to detailed design on a variety of water plants and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior Mechanical Engineers.
