Water Infrastructure Design Specialist

Job Summary
KBR is seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Design Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Water team, you will be responsible for designing and developing water infrastructure projects using 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who has extensive experience in design within the process/mechanical disciplines on water infrastructure. You will work closely with stakeholders across all levels and have a willingness to provide technical assistance and guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop water infrastructure projects using 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications.
- Evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate that into the model or drawing.
- Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments that involve conventional plans, investigations, and surveys.
- Work with stakeholders across all levels to foster collaboration and achieve optimum design performance.
Requirements
- An associate degree, diploma, associate diploma of design or engineering, or similar para-professional level qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Previous consulting/design/technical experience on water infrastructure and linear pipeline design as a designer.
- Extensive experience in the practice of drafting and design in the general mechanical/process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and market sector.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
