Job Overview: WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Treatment team in Australia. This role will involve leading the design and delivery of water treatment infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with CPEng accreditation. You will also need relevant consulting experience in the water industry, as well as technical competence across a wide spectrum of water and/or wastewater treatment/process disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall scope and day-to-day tasks of multiple projects of varying complexity and size
- Manage the production and review of concise high-quality technical documentation that effectively presents complex information and results to technical and non-technical clients
- Contribute and manage projects (as appropriate), including providing technical review and sign off, risk management, commercial and project management
- Apply relevant State and Federal legislation as it pertains to water, and apply industry standards and guidelines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with CPEng accreditation
- Relevant consulting experience in the water industry
- Technical competence across a wide spectrum of water and/or wastewater treatment/process disciplines
- Ability to prepare or assist in the production of technical reports on small to large-scale projects
- Skill in conveying complex technical matters effectively to clients
- Proficient in leading hydraulic and civil design for water and wastewater treatment plants
- Ability to utilise modeling software, analytics techniques, and conducting detailed design and equipment selection
