Job Overview

The role of a civil engineer at our company involves working on various projects related to civil, solid waste and environmental fields. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, motivated team player with the desire to grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices in solid waste assignment areas and related fields.
  • Complete designs using 2D and Civil 3D AutoCAD drafting, mathematical calculations, etc.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
  • Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent us at meetings and conferences.
  • Field work performed in varied terrain and weather will be required.
  • Office based tasks including: AutoCAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etc.
  • Business development including: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry related conferences/trade shows.
  • Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of four years of civil engineering design experience is required. Solid waste related experience is beneficial.
  • Engineering in Training (EIT) certification is necessary, while Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is preferred.
  • Experience with using AutoCAD Civil 3D design software is essential.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record is mandatory.
