We are looking for an experienced Wall Constructor to join our team.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III/IV in Wall Construction or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic construction team, constructing walls using various materials such as bricks, blocks, tiles, boards, and stone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructing walls using different types of materials
- Laying bricks in rows, designs, and shapes
- Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar
- Fastingening bricks with wire clamps or cement
- Repairing building blocks
- Understanding and managing material quantities
- Using hand tools, brick-cutting machines, spirit levels, and plumb lines to check building alignment
- Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights
- Ensuring compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
Requirements:
- Certificate III/IV in Wall Construction or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to work safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
