Job Title: Experienced Underwriter Wanted

Join a dynamic team and take on the challenge of underwriting business across various schemes and facilities.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced underwriter to join our property team, where you will be responsible for achieving sustainable profit and growth for our company through the provision of specialist advice, direction, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use your expertise to provide insightful change across our scheme and facilities business
  • Build good working relationships with customers, agency networks, and internal stakeholders
  • Support the development of strategy, share knowledge, and best practice
  • Monitor and review the quality of underwriting activity
  • Maintain strong knowledge of best practice, legislation, and compliance standards
  • Deliver training to upskill agent knowledge base and enhance our proposition
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects to add value across the organization

Requirements:

  • Commercial background an advantage
  • Flexibility to work across a changing portfolio
  • Strong customer/broker relationship skills and focus
  • Broad understanding of Property specific underwriting
  • Proven knowledge of relevant market conditions for specific class/portfolio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Keen interest in data analytics and the mindset to apply those results within the business
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and work within a national team across multiple locations
