Job Title: Underground Production Operator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and validating operational data received via radio calls or automated systems;
  • Ensuring all reports are issued with valid data in a timely manner;
  • Acting as First Response to emergency radio calls for actual emergency events and training exercises;
  • Providing a high standard of communication with all underground personnel;
  • Remotely operating and monitoring fixed plant equipment and mine services under direction from the maintenance team and operations management;
  • Working with underground shift supervisors to monitor activities against shift plan and notify key personnel of variations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills with attention to detail;
  • The ability to multitask while remaining calm in a fast-paced environment;
  • The ability to work independently as well as with a diverse range of people;
  • A high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word);
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and logical aptitude, with confidence in raising and addressing issues;
  • A willingness to give best effort every time to help improve mining operation;
  • Previous experience using Pitram software will be advantageous.
