About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing gas drainage networks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our underground mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and manage gas drainage systems to minimize risks and optimize performance
- Develop and implement plans to secure operational approvals for underground gas drainage projects
- Collaborate with contractors to deliver high-quality gas drainage tasks while ensuring compliance with company standards
- Oversee daily operations of the underground gas drainage process to maintain safety and efficiency standards

Requirements

- 5+ years' experience in underground mining (essential)
- Underground gas drainage and surface gas drainage plant experience (essential)
- Strong knowledge of ventilation systems and plant maintenance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- SAP experience (desirable)
- Ventilation Officer and Mining Supervisor qualifications (desirable)
- Unwavering commitment to safety and awareness of relevant legislation
- Strong planning and organisational skills
