About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how victims of crime are supported, influencing both internal practice and external stakeholder engagement across Queensland's justice system.

The successful candidate will oversee and enhance best practices in victim support, drive professional excellence within our Victims Register team, and mentor and support staff through reflective practice, coaching, and expert guidance.

  • Lead best practice initiatives and support complex, high-risk case management
  • Deliver training and drive continuous capability-building within the team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance engagement, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culturally diverse groups
  • Provide strategic input into victim-related policies, service improvements, and legislative requirements

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in complex case management, especially in victim services or the criminal justice system
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and foster inclusive practice
  • A commitment to trauma-informed and culturally safe service delivery
  • Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work or Human Services (postgrad qualifications in coaching/supervision highly regarded)
