The role of Fleet Support Lead Engineer Mechanical involves being the subject matter expert for the operation of new piling machines in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody a visible safety leadership approach and foster a proactive culture of continual improvement in the welfare of individuals interacting with the organization.
  • Conduct advanced fault finding across diesel and hydraulic systems, with a focus on delivering projects efficiently in diverse soil types.
  • Promote mechanical performance excellence in the field and assume responsibility as the subject matter expert on machines and their operation.
  • Participate in field trials, complete daily maintenance tasks on machinery, calibrate and verify machine performance.
  • Attend testing sites, address mechanical failures.
  • Analyze machine performance logs, collaborate with R&D teams on new versions.
  • Manage relationships with mechanical service partners and administer work orders and parts requests.
  • Leverage expertise to localize training content for the Australian market.
Requirements:
  • A background in heavy machine mechanical fitting, fleet management or team leadership is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with effective communication abilities at multiple levels.
  • Showcase proven ability to develop and manage relationships.
  • Demonstrate experience with heavy diesel machinery, specifically Cummins engines, and associated hydraulic and electronic control systems.
  • Exhibit advanced fault-finding ability in machine mechanical systems.
  • Display affinity for mechanical machinery and equipment.
  • Ideally possess experience within the materials supply and construction industry.
  • Preferably possess experience within a business excellence environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent written language skills.
  • Show willingness to travel to remote sites.
  • Possess a valid Australian driving license.
  • Hold Australian citizenship or Permanent Residence.
