About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Edge Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for prioritizing, scheduling, and executing network changes and upgrades across Amazon Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects/programs simultaneously, some on a global scale
  • Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers, and senior management on a daily basis
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles
  • Work with engineers to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up
  • Drive simplification efforts in engineering and project/program management and architectures to unblock innovation
  • Create predictable process paths for large and/or complex efforts
A Day in the Life

A typical day for the Technical Infrastructure Program Manager would start with a review of assigned projects to identify blockers. The day would progress with deep dives and reviews with internal and external partners/customers to aggregate data points to identify risks/issues and blockers.

Finishing out the day, by developing a proposal for paths to green, project communications, and schedule updates.

  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds - Network capacity build and data center builds
