Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the editorial and production processes of a globally recognized scientific journal. As Managing Editor, you will oversee the coordination of all editorial operations from submission to publication.

About the Role

This full-time position requires expertise in managing the entire editorial workflow, including peer review, author communications, and technical editing. The successful candidate will ensure efficient manuscript processing, uphold editorial standards, and meet publication deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the editorial process from submission to publication.
  • Support the Editors-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Editorial Board.
  • Maintain editorial and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with publishers, authors, and reviewers to maintain journal quality and visibility.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance submissions, readership, citation impact, and international profile.
Requirements
  • A tertiary degree or higher in a science and/or health discipline.
  • At least three years' experience in academic publishing, including peer review, editorial processes, and publication ethics.
  • Familiarity with scientific or medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with editorial management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
