Job Overview

A company is seeking a strategic asset professional to manage a diverse portfolio of assets across various fleets and equipment. The successful candidate will lead initiatives across the entire asset lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal, to improve efficiency, optimise commercial outcomes, and enhance overall asset performance.

About the Role

The key responsibilities include developing asset optimisation initiatives by working with frontline operations, modelling asset scenarios to optimise type, configuration, quantity, and location in line with strategic business objectives, building vendor relationships, overseeing logistics asset performance, ensuring fleet maintenance effectiveness, and leading change and capital programs.

About You

You are a self-driven professional with proven experience in a comparable role, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and commercial optimisation. You take a proactive approach to work, with an emphasis on building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics/Transport or Supply Chain field
  • Experience in Supply chain / Operations management and Asset Management
  • Experience in Heavy vehicle fleet management and knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations
  • Understanding of transport operations including safety and compliance requirements
  • High level of analytical skills and strategic thinking
  • Experience in Petroleum industry is desirable
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexible to travel
