Fleet Operations Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Operations Controller to oversee our operational processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
This role will report to the Operations Manager and will focus on:
- Managing and scheduling fleet and personnel movements, including tracking hours and delays;
- Coordinating customer bookings and delivery logistics;
- Cultivating strong relationships with existing clients to maintain high service standards;
- Participating in an on-call rotating schedule for after-hours support;
- Overseeing fatigue management and compliance measures;
- Supervising and directing staff members;
- Assisting with payroll and related administrative tasks;
- Supporting the commercial operations of the division as needed.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, possess a robust work ethic, and excel in customer service, asset management, and operational enhancement.
Key qualifications include:
- Relevant experience in a comparable role, preferably in the transport and logistics sector;
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team;
- Experience in managing both company-owned and subcontractor fleets;
- Strong customer service orientation with the capability to foster collaborative relationships across various stakeholders;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently;
- High proficiency in computer applications and meticulous attention to detail;
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and achieving measurable results;
- Familiarity with compliance systems such as COR, NHVAS, BFM, and Mass Management;
- Willingness to undertake occasional short-term travel;
- Knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and Transport Awards is advantageous;
- Previous experience with workers' compensation and injury management is a plus;
- A degree in Transport and Logistics is beneficial but not mandatory.
