We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to oversee the business requirements related to our overall production process. This role is critical in ensuring that our production lines are efficiently and effectively coordinated to meet customer demand while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and manage day-to-day production strategies that align with both short-term and medium-term business goals.
- Train and educate floor staff and production personnel on roles and machinery operations. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training to ensure staff performance meets required levels.
- Maintain continuous communication and collaboration with Quality Assurance, Planning, Logistics, and the Production Manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed according to standards. Report and communicate any quality issues to the Quality Assurance team.
- Collaborate with OHS representatives on safety initiatives and ensure that all recommendations are implemented. Oversee incident reporting and work with HR to mitigate risks.
- Implement the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring progress, and resolving issues. Report results to the Planning and Production Manager.
- Ensure equipment is maintained according to the set schedule to prevent breakdowns. Oversee cleaning operations to meet and exceed QA standards.
- Coordinate staff rosters, manage day-to-day operator duties, and oversee training and development. Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, including handling complaints and hazard/injury reports.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Systematic approach to processes and business operations.
- Strong understanding of time management, planning, and manufacturing tools.
- Organizational and leadership abilities.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in large teams and individually.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OHS requirements.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment.
- Salary package range of $85k to $100k+
