Key Responsibilities

We seek an accomplished lawyer to lead our portfolio of Big Build Roads projects, driving tangible results across the State.

This role involves providing high-quality and pragmatic legal advice, primarily focused on project development, procurement, delivery, contracting and interfaces.

The ideal candidate will manage, mentor, and guide other legal team members, undertaking people management responsibilities as required.

Collaboration with the Commercial and Legal team, and the broader multi-disciplinary project team, is essential in delivering best-for-project solutions.

Requirements
  • A construction, projects or infrastructure specialist, with extensive experience in contracting and delivery of large, complex projects. Experience with collaborative contracting models is beneficial.
  • A natural leader – you have experience in managing teams (formally or informally) to achieve best-for-project outcomes. Experience in managing external advisors would be advantageous.
  • A true collaborator – your expert communication and stakeholder management skills ensure a cohesive approach in managing complex legal matters in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Well-versed in managing contractual matters (including drafting and claims) and other complex legal matters throughout the development and delivery of infrastructure projects.

This is a 6-month fixed-term opportunity to backfill a period of parental leave.
