About the Business Services Team

BDO's Business Services division plays a crucial role in ensuring our clients' success by providing world-class advisory and compliance services. Our clients are typically emerging businesses, fast-growing corporate groups, and high-income/high-net-worth individuals and family groups across various industries. Our team offers a range of services to our clients, including:

  • Growth strategy and planning
  • Strategic business consulting
  • Business mentoring and coaching
  • Due diligence and transaction advisory services
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
  • Financial modeling and forecasting
  • Business finance applications and structuring
  • Tax planning and structuring
  • Taxation compliance and advisory services, including GST
  • Business information services selection and implementation

Current Business Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Senior Accountants to join our growing Business Services teams. You will focus on delivering high-quality, value-adding work while developing your career in a high-performing team.

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards across various industries
  • Prepare income tax returns for a variety of entities, including companies, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals
  • Perform tax planning tasks for clients and prepare advice relating to business operations and regulatory matters
  • Provide business and tax advisory services, including business structuring, improvement, and growth strategy
  • Liaise with clients, managers, and partners regarding queries
  • Mentor and assist junior staff in their training and development

Requirements for Success

  • Experience in a professional services environment and a keen interest in tax and advisory services
  • Relationship building skills, with the ability to liaise with various levels and teams across BDO and provide exceptional service to clients
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
  • An interest in, or currently completing (or finished), a CA or CPA qualification
  • Knowledge and use of Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and/or Xero is desirable
