Detailed Job Description
  • Develop end-to-end claims management strategies for class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures.
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities.
  • Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required.
  • Spearhead process improvements and cost reduction initiatives across the claims team.
  • Promote alignment of claims strategies across internal stakeholders.
  • Operate within delegated authority and promote a positive risk culture.

About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance are mandatory.
  • Industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services are also mandatory.
  • You must have 5–10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims.
  • Litigation experience is essential, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills are required.
  • You will need excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members is beneficial.
  • A sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems is necessary.
