- We are seeking a seasoned Claims Specialist to lead our High Value and Complex Claims portfolio. This is a 12-month contract to manage high-value exposures, including professional indemnity, injury, and property liability claims.">
Your Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-end claim management across class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures.">
- Provide strategic advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and claim resolution.">
- Collaborate with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities.">
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required.">
- Support technical oversight and mentoring within the claims team.">
- Develop governance frameworks and reporting for emerging risks and financial impacts.">
- Promote alignment of claims strategies across stakeholders.">
- Contribute to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.">
About You:
">- ">
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (mandatory).">
- Industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services (mandatory).">
- 5–10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims.">
- Litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement (mandatory).">
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.">
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.">
- Experience mentoring and developing team members.">
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems.">
