Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and claim resolution.">
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities.">
  • Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required.">
  • Support technical oversight and mentoring within the claims team.">
  • Develop governance frameworks and reporting for emerging risks and financial impacts.">
  • Promote alignment of claims strategies across stakeholders.">
  • Contribute to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.">

About You:

  • ">
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (mandatory).">
  • Industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services (mandatory).">
  • 5–10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims.">
  • Litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement (mandatory).">
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.">
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.">
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members.">
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems.">
