This is a hands-on, varied, and deeply rewarding experience working as an Employment Specialist.
The program connects individuals with meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities, offering tailored support and training to help them succeed in the workplace.
As an Employment Specialist, you will work closely with participants, employers, and community partners to provide job-readiness training, identify practical barriers, and ensure alignment between employer needs and participant capacity.
You will also provide regular post-placement follow-up, issue resolution, and contribute to monitoring outcomes and reporting.
- Delivering one-on-one and group training to build job readiness skills
- Supporting participants to overcome practical barriers such as transport, documentation, and confidence
- Building and maintaining relationships with referral partners and support services
- Actively identifying and engaging with employers across various industries
- Ensuring alignment between employer needs and participant capacity, and supporting both throughout the placement
- Providing post-placement mentoring, regular check-ins, and issue resolution
This role requires strong time management, initiative, and follow-through, with clear expectations and structured goals. You will work independently as well as part of a team, understanding the importance of being reliable, organised, and outcome-oriented.
