Job Opportunity: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Health">

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Health, responsible for teaching, learning, research, and curriculum development within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge in Indigenous health education, experience in delivering high-quality teaching, and a strong commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous peoples internationally.

This is an identified role, open to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. We encourage applications from individuals who share our vision for improving health outcomes in local and global communities.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the strategic goals of the School, Faculty, and University through innovative teaching and learning strategies, impactful research, and meaningful engagement and partnerships.
  • Develop and deliver teaching programs that integrate Indigenous perspectives into nursing education, fostering collaboration with industry and community stakeholders.
  • Engage in research and academic activities that advance knowledge in Indigenous health education and promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous peoples internationally.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students, industry, and the community.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field
  • Current APHRA registration as a registered nurse or nurse/midwife
  • Relevant, recent clinical and/or research and/or academic experience in a nursing context

What We Offer:

  • Base salary range $125,240 - $148,229 pa (Level B) / $152,245 - $174,841 pa (Level C)
  • 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to base salary
  • Full-time position with a fixed term appointment for 3 years
