About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at Liberty Primary Steel, a member of the GFG Alliance group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing strategic commercial leadership and advice to our Steel Manufacturing Operations in Whyalla.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the face of the commercial team on site, providing strategic commercial leadership and advice to stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with our Business Unit Manager to monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and provide input to new cost-saving opportunities.
  • Partner with leaders and their teams to improve financial and commercial performance in the areas you support.
  • Contribute to the end-of-month financial process and develop reporting tools to effectively analyse and communicate results.
  • Support the onsite teams through all project milestones and assist with business case development.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to develop annual business plans and quarterly forecasts for the Steel Products unit.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • CPA or CA qualification highly regarded.
  • Previous experience working in the manufacturing or energy sector.
  • Previous experience working in a complex commercial and operational environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities and financial reporting skills with a good knowledge of financial methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
