Contract Administrator Role Overview">

Our company is seeking a skilled Contract Administrator to manage complex head contracts and ensure contractual compliance.

">Key Responsibilities">
  • Manage the administration of head contracts, including preparation and tracking of documentation for notices, variations, EOT claims, and payment claims.
  • Prepare and review payment schedules to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the Superintendent and Principal's representatives, managing correspondence and ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Identify and escalate contractual risks to senior management, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with project delivery teams to ensure contractual alignment and compliance with project objectives.
  • Develop and implement contract administration processes to support efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Maintain project contract registers and monitor key dates and milestones.
  • Support subcontractor management, issuing subcontracts and monitoring deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance obligations are met, including insurance, workplace health and safety, and statutory requirements.
">Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction, Business, Law, or a related field (desired but not essential).
  • At least 2 years' experience in contract administration, project coordination, or a related commercial role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and administer variations and extensions under back-to-back terms.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing payment claims and payment schedules, ensuring compliance with contractual and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail when reviewing head contract terms, subcontract agreements, and claims documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to draft clear notices, reports, and correspondence.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to track deadlines, program impacts, and compliance obligations.
