Part-Time Contracts Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Specialist to join our Finance team on a part-time basis.

The role involves driving the continued development of the contracts function, ensuring compliance and thoroughness in all contracting and procurement practices.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with considerable experience in contracts and procurement who is looking for a flexible role that offers work-life balance and the chance to be involved in all aspects of contracts and procurement.

About The Role

As a Contracts Specialist, you will lead the contracts and procurement function, managing tendering processes, contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining contract registers, monitoring service level agreements, and engaging with suppliers and contractors.

You will also contribute to the development of best practice in contracts and procurement within our organisation.

This part-time position offers flexibility, with options for shorter days across the week or 3-4 full days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contractual and commercial negotiation
  • End-to-end procurement and supplier lifecycle processes, including competitive tendering processes
  • Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

Requirements:

Experience in contractual and commercial negotiation

Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and supplier lifecycle processes

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility and willingness to help others grow in their contracts and procurement knowledge

Desirable:

Legal background and understanding of APRA requirements
