Job Overview

The role of a Payroll Officer involves efficiently managing the payroll process for approximately 180 employees, ensuring timely and accurate wage payments in accordance with strong governance practices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Pay Run Management: Prepare monthly and ad-hoc end-to-end pay runs as required, emphasizing governance principles.
  • New Starter and Termination Pays: Calculate and prepare new starters' and termination pays in accordance with company policies.
  • Leave Management: Ensure leave requests are appropriately submitted and approved.
  • Employee Support: Provide information to employees/managers about payroll matters.
  • Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of payroll, superannuation payments, bonuses, and authorized payroll deductions.
  • Year-End Requirements: Prepare and manage year-end ATO and state revenue requirements.

This position requires adherence to all relevant legal requirements, company policies, and state-based regulations. Collaboration with the Finance team and People and Culture team is essential.
