Operations Leadership Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our Terminal Operations team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of ensuring efficient operational storage and dispatch capacity to deliver superior customer value.

Main Responsibilities
  • Align operations with organisational vision and goals
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across port warehousing network
  • Manage risk and quality within a strong EH&S culture
  • Lead innovation and operational excellence in bulk handling and storage
About You

You are an innovative and critical thinker with strong skills and knowledge to lead complex operations in the fertiliser industry. Your qualifications include:

  • Critical thinking to solve complex operational challenges and drive strategic decisions

You should have:

  • Strong accountability and delegation skills to manage cross-functional teams
  • Economic understanding to drive cost-effective decisions and improve profitability
  • Building and nurturing effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay up-to-date with industry developments

Your knowledge includes:

  • Engineering principles relevant to bulk handling and storage, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory matters in operations, including OH&S and environmental compliance
  • Subject matter expertise in fertiliser or bulk logistics industries, including market trends and supply chain management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience within the Fertiliser industry, preferably in a leadership or management capacity
  • Background of developing and managing 3PL relationships and contracts
  • Proven record of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and driving business growth
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking skills to drive organisational change and improvement
