Position Overview:
This permanent part-time reception role acts as a first point of contact to clients visiting Town Hall Broadmeadows. Key responsibilities include delivering operational actions associated with venues, liaising with clients and contractors, administering the booking system, and providing administrative support to the team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver and organise the delivery of operational actions associated with venues, including hall bookings and reception services.
- Liaise professionally with and direct clients, contractors, couriers, and other visitors.
- Administer the hall's booking system, including point of contact enquiries, maintenance of the booking system, and administration of accounting processes.
- Provide support to the team where required, including preparing memos, completing forms, and other administrative tasks.
- Promote the full range of venues and services offered through the Community Centres and Venues portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with other staff in a team environment.
- Oversight of the main foyer space and entry to venues ensuring it is kept clean and tidy.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated administration and customer service skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and expectations, decide the appropriate action, and respond accordingly.
- Knowledge of working within a customer-driven environment and demonstrated experience in dealing with members of the public.
- Ability to process payments and handle money—issue correct change, receipting, and balancing of cash float.
