The company has its own warehouse and brokerage facilities, with modern head office facilities based in Banksmeadow, offering onsite parking for staff.

About the Role:

The company is seeking a Senior Export Sea Operator or Supervisor to join their team of 4, responsible for all aspects of export sea operations, mentorship, and training using Cargowise as their operating system. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in export sea operations and freight forwarding, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.

Daily Duties:
  • Day-to-day operations for sea freight operations
  • Third-party billings, invoicing, reporting, and EOM processing
  • Overseeing and supporting a small team of import/export operators (if supervising)
  • Providing ongoing training and SOP implementation
  • Handling escalated operational issues
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas offices/agents, customers, suppliers, and internal staff
Requirements:
  • Solid export sea operations experience in the Australian freight forwarding market
  • Cargowise experience highly desired, but not essential
  • Eagerness to learn other areas of the business
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Confident, clear, and professional communication
