Job Title: Physical Testing Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Physical Testing Laboratory Technician

About the Role:

  • Our laboratory team requires a highly skilled and safety-focused individual to handle coal samples and process them according to instructions.
  • Loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams is also a key responsibility of this role.
  • A range of physical tests will be performed, including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing, and sample storage.
  • The technician must ensure that all results are transferred into the reporting system in a timely manner.
  • Additionally, calibration and maintenance of specialized equipment is required.

Key Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license.
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to organize work, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting.
  • Competent within a strong safety culture.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Previous coal sampling experience would be an advantage but not essential.
