
Specialist Nutrition Practitioner

- As a specialist practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional or dietetic advice and treatment to service users of all ages.
- You will deliver an age-inclusive service for adults of working age and older adults in mental health services and CAMHS, providing interventions according to the Trust Eating Disorder Pathways.
- With a high degree of autonomy, you will plan and deliver treatment for service users on your own caseload under senior specialist dietitians' supervision.
- Working as a member of multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to treatment and specialty care plans, acting as a source of expertise on dietetic/nutritional management to service users, carers, and other health professionals in various settings.
- Participating in peer group supervision and support, contributing to training, supervision, and support of other colleagues and students, and may lead clinical audits or undertake research.
- Providing supervision or management of Students, Basic Grade Dietitians, and Dietetics Assistants within your professional group and team locality in line with Trust HR processes.
- Collaborating with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians, and other practitioners to deliver a 7-day-a-week, 24/7 service where appropriate.
- Demonstrable interest in CAMHS & Mental Health Dietetics; willingness to be part of a dynamic, motivated team.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team with regular supervision and development opportunities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet service needs.
- Band 6 or Band 5 developmental posts considered as stated.
