This is an exciting chance to work in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, providing specialist therapeutic care and contributing to the development of nutrition services.
Caseload Overview
The varied caseload includes patients with neurology, orthopaedics, oncology, cardiac, renal and respiratory conditions at Camberwell and multi-trauma and concussion at Hawthorn.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and provide dietetic and nutritional intervention across various inpatient wards and outpatient services
- Deliver evidence-based treatment including assessment, intervention, discharge planning and risk management
- Develop and deliver appropriate nutrition education for groups
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient-centred care
- Contribute to quality activities and professional development
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years' experience working in a hospital setting
- Well-developed time management, prioritisation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with key stakeholders to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes
- A quality and risk focused approach to clinical practice, patient care and decision making
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Eligibility for full membership with a recognised industry association
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) Program
