Lead Business Attorney

As a seasoned attorney, you will provide expert counsel to drive strategic initiatives and support day-to-day business operations across various aspects of Crown Melbourne's activities.

  • Deliver timely, commercially savvy legal advice on a broad range of business matters.
  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts for goods, services, consultancy, leases, and IT solutions.
  • Promote compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify potential risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Liaise with external counsel to address complex legal issues.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and training programs focused on legal matters.
  • Support the General Counsel – Crown Melbourne in driving strategic legal initiatives.

Key qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 8 years post-admission experience, including at least 3 years in an in-house role.
  • Strong expertise in drafting and advising on a wide range of contractual and commercial matters.
  • Employment law and litigation experience are highly valued but not essential.
  • Admission to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.
  • High-level computer literacy and attention to detail are necessary.
