Job Description
This role will suit a dedicated individual who is looking to expand on their own skill set by working as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Technician in a busy small service team at our Warrnambool location.
- Repairs, services and inspections to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs etc. on a wide range of trucks, buses and trailers.
- Diagnostic analysis using the latest diagnostic software and computer equipment.
- Produce clear and concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders including supplies used and recommendations in a prioritised order.
- Provide support and guidance to Apprentice technicians.
- VicRoads roadworthy inspections.
- Mechanical and hydraulic works along with auto electrical and fabrication work.
Requirements
- A minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade qualification.
- Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry.
- Experience with American, European or Japanese drivelines will be highly regarded.
- Able to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team.
- A current HC/HR drivers licence an advantage but not essential.
- Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
- High levels of motivation, reliable with a can-do, positive attitude.
- Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety.
- Own tools.
