Our team consists of leaders in the quantum sensing field who share a common vision to make commercial quantum sensing a reality. We are seeking talented individuals who possess a passion for innovation and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design critical mechanical systems for our deployed quantum sensors.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks).
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure mechanical components meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicists, electronic, and software engineers to integrate mechanical components into the overall system design.
  • Participate in design reviews and idea generation within the mechanical engineering team.
  • Maintain part and assemblies within product life cycle (PLM) systems.
  • Work with external suppliers to build and maintain relationships and push product innovation.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs can be produced at scale.
  • Maintain a safe and organized lab/machine shop environment.
  • Assist with the maintenance of deployed sensors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience designing and prototyping precision mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
  • Experience designing for various manufacturing techniques, including CNC machined parts.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools.
  • Ideal experience designing flexure components and optomechanical systems.
  • Ideal experience designing systems that tightly integrate electrical components.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working in small cross-functional teams.
  • Highly initiative with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to be hands-on for manufacturing & assembling of jigs, prototypes & products.
  • Must have current full working rights in Australia.
