Job Title: Precision Moulding Specialist

Galaxy Personnel is seeking experienced professionals to work on day, afternoon, and night shifts as a Precision Moulding Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in mould setting within the plastics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment start-ups and shutdowns with precision
  • Prepare, install, set, and run injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding machines with accuracy
  • Competent in mould changes and understand die insert modifications
  • Adjust and optimise machine controls to required settings for production
  • Trouble shoot injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding machines, materials, and dies effectively
  • Ensure maintenance is done on moulds, machines, and general housekeeping in conjunction with the Maintenance Fitter
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns
  • Ensure product quality meets specifications with attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mould setting within the plastics industry
  • Knowledge of injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding processes
  • Excellent understanding of polymer materials and their properties
  • Experience with engineering polymers and their applications
  • Trouble shooting, fault finding, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
