Major Projects Officer Role

The successful candidate will provide support to the Manager, Major Projects throughout the duration of projects to resolve technical, contract and project management issues and optimize their implementation through considered procedures, guidelines, processes and practices.

  • Effective management of internal and external service providers is crucial.
  • High-quality documentation development and efficient procurement process management are key responsibilities.
  • The role involves providing effective and efficient project management administration, ensuring that project components align with council objectives and are completed within the required scope, timeframes, costs and quality products in line with the Building Code of Australia and any relevant standards.
  • Appropriate procedures, guidelines, policies and practices must be applied to ensure work health and safety requirements are incorporated into project and contract documentation.
  • Building specifications preparation and estimates for building projects are essential tasks.
