Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Roads & Bridges to lead and oversee the delivery of civil works within a major infrastructure project. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards while meeting regulatory and environmental requirements.

You will be responsible for providing oversight and assurance across all civil construction matters, reviewing design packages and project plans, and acting as Infrastructure Planner's representative. This position involves working closely with government bodies, contractors, consultants, and the community to ensure alignment and compliance on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.

Candidates will need to demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical expertise across roads, bridges, and foundation works. Experience in major infrastructure projects, public-private partnerships, or regulated asset delivery will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Overseeing planning, implementation, and delivery of major civil construction projects
  • Reviewing and advising on all civil construction matters and design packages
  • Coordinating with government, contractors, and stakeholders for project alignment
  • Developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring mitigation measures
  • Conducting site visits and surveillance to verify works are in line with design/program requirements
  • Managing safety, environmental, and quality compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Preparing project updates and reports for senior leadership
  • Leading and motivating project teams including consultants and contractors

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, project management, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience with roads, bridges, piled/block foundations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience on large, complex infrastructure programs
  • Knowledge of regulatory and environmental compliance requirements
