Job Description

Our organisation is seeking compassionate and committed Youth Workers to support young people who are experiencing vulnerability and need someone to walk alongside them through life's challenges.

In this permanent, full-time role, you'll work directly with young people in a 24-hour care residential setting, helping them build resilience, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.

You'll work an average of 5 x 24-hour shifts per fortnight on a rotating roster - giving you meaningful time off while still making a deep impact.

Travel within the Brisbane region is required - a work vehicle is provided while on shift.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent)
  • A current Blue Card
  • A full Australian Driver's Licence
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • A strong ability to build trust with diverse young people
  • Flexibility to work 5 x 24-hour shifts per fortnight
  • Emotional strength and resilience in high-pressure environments
  • A genuine passion for mentoring and teaching life skills

Your Training Journey

You'll begin with a comprehensive 3-week induction program (classroom, online and on-the-job training), preparing you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed.

Note: Offers start on a casual basis during induction, with permanent roles offered once you complete the induction program.
